India stands 2nd in the world in population after China. There has been rapid increase in population in India. There are about 127 crore people living in our country. In India the three major problems are poverty, unemployment and continuous increase in population. These are such problems which create hindrance in the development of the country. Poor people are contributing the most to the increasing population due to lack of knowledge and education. They had such a mindset which not at all think about the nation’s problem and which is presently faced by Indians.
One of the important reason for such fast increasing population is the desire for the male child in the family. The people think that their family must consist a male child and for such a wish sometimes they give birth to 3-4 children as they first had girl child. This creates the problem of increasing population. Even after that people do not allow their child to study but they force their child to work at the small shops or tea stalls as it adds to their family revenue. This again creates problem of illiteracy which ultimately leads to the problem of unemployment.
Likewise, a chain of the problems is created and do not allow our country to develop. As and when they had a girl baby they need to arrange the funds for her marriage. In addition to this they need to arrange some sort of extra money due to prevailing dowry system present in many regions of the country. This really creates problem for the people who do not have sufficient money. As the population is continuously increasing the resources are not capable enough to meet the required demand and as a result we have to import certain commodities from other countries.
Government is making efforts like Family Planning Program to control the population but due to illiteracy efforts of the government fails to achieve its standard objectives. Government is making many efforts but we have to take an initiation to go for family planning because if such situation will be continuously faced then the fruits of the development will not be available to us and to our generation too.
Let us come together and take a pledge to see the nation’s problem as our own and take immediate steps to see our country as a DEVELOPED and GREAT INDIA!!
